Question Humid and rainy wheather causes truck to not start

It rained all last night and all day today on and off. I go out to start my truck which is parked in the grass and it will not start. This has happened one other time a month ago when it rained hard all night. The symptoms are its not sparking. When this happed before I opened the hood and let it set in the sun to dry out and it eventually started. I have a feeling the rain and dampness is causing a component to not allow spark. Also sometimes when its real wet and damp my truck will run like crap. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm not sure if you have ignition modules or a distributor but I would start by looking for cracks in the module housings or the distributor cap.

we have an older dodge dakota work truck, and it would not start if the temps were below freezing, so after trying the cheap obvious things like temp sending unit and something on the distributor, we finally took it to an auto electrical guru dude, and he found the ignition module had moisture in it, when it would freeze it caused some circut board to disconnect ???

I did verify no spark on one coil pack and checked the other one and it was unplugged! Plugged it back in and it fired up and soon began to run on all 8 plugs. The 2nd coil pack must have been unplugged for a long time cause it was down on power and now it has alot more power!!! Thanks for all your advice! I'll know where to look if it happens again.
