LOL...good post dvrich! I think r134a is "better" for the environment, not environmentally safe. The government has to put there hands in everything....including how many gallons of water we are allowed to flush per visit to the restroom!! =P

The auto industry went from using CFC refrigerants to HFC because they were "supposedly" environmentally friendly........if that is true why do they have to recover and not vent 134a. Can't figure that one out.

Half ass or not, It worked. Also FYI my drier was already new, so shoot me.

Anytime you open the system, you must replace the drier....whether it's open to the atmosphere for half an hour or half a year. Just don't complain when the compressor quits.
