I'm assuming that's what he means tool since he isn't really explaining anything else.

Probably just back pressure from the system charging while the truck is running bleeding off after it's shut off. Should only last a couple of seconds.
thats it i hear it running through the lines........wow mechanics must be pros at repairing ac's

Well its full since you allegedly checked it and its full. And you can hear it equalizing when you shut it off so its making pressure. Does the AC compressor run at a normal cycle. Like it will run for like 30 seconds or something then shut down for a little bit then come back on? Or does it run non-stop? Or does it cycle on and off every few seconds? What does the air temperature do?

You need to provide some information beyond single sentences that make no sense if you want people to help you. Or, take it to and AC shop that knows what their doing.

I could not help but LOL at the OP....just to reiterate to all readers:

THE A/C SYSTEM MUST BE EVACUATED AND VACUUMED BEFORE NEW R134A CAN BE PUT IN!!!

Anywho....like FireRanger said, you need to provide way more info before anyone can help

I changed out a compressor on my truck a few months ago and I couldn't find a vacuum pump, so I just used 134 to purge the system and then charged her up. It's been blowing low 40s ever since.

Number 1 rule of thumb......If you don't have a clue what you are doing, find someone who does.

LOL! Dude get it vacuumed! And yes there is something you can pick up, an A/C vacuum pump and gauges but then again those aren't always cheap and you still need to learn how to use them rofl.

If you attempt to fill freon yourself, beware that if you over fill your system you will damage the o-rings or cause them to fail later down the road. Take it in, they will do a pressure check to see if your system has any leaks, if it does, they will run a dye to find the leak. Take it in to someone who knows what they are doing, it'll be cheaper in the long run. Just my opinion!!

That is what A/C technicians call a "Process Purge". That is a total half ass way to do it......I bet you didn't replace the drier or the orifice either. If you didn't ......you'll need another compressor within a year.
If it's blowing in the low 40's that would be a miracle........technically auto A/C units are medium temp refrigeration systems.

The auto industry went from using CFC refrigerants to HFC because they were "supposedly" environmentally friendly........if that is true why do they have to recover and not vent 134a. Can't figure that one out.

That is called pressure equalization, not bleeding.

Don't ever let these guys work on your A/C.
