I wouldn't waste my money. Pull the snorkel as said above for a bit more flow and sound.

As far as aftermarket goes, you're S.O.L. You could build your own, but there's not one pre-made for the '04 and later 2.3. As stated above, pulling the "silencer" out of the stock airbox, and doing a little trimming will get you almost as much flow as an aftermarket intake, without pulling in hot engine air.

i agree with blueovelboy.
The one thing that I haven't heard any one do when they remove the muffler in the box, is figure out a way of directing the air from right behing the grill and in front of the radiator in to the air box.

Any one want to explain why?

I have never understood why you would want to take air away from your radiator. If there is a good reason to do this, please say so.

dont know if i understand the question.but the air that comes in is from out side it just travels around the head light? to get a more direct path you would have to remove the light

I have seen people (1 guy) use ducting to get "more" fresh air to the air box, but when all was said and done, he noticed only a slight change in intake air temps when sitting at a light, and no change when moving. So the reason you don't see it being done, is that it's not worth the effort.

And to Buddy, the amount of air you would "take" from the radiator is minuscule, so wouldn't hurt a thing.

We are talking about the tube that gets air in to the filter box. Remove the filter and then look in and you will see the tube. That's what you would remove and it give's you way more noise. Throttle response is improved as well!
