Default Valve & Timing Chain Question

The 2011 2.3L engine information says it has "Mechanical nonhydraulic bucket" valves/lifters. Will the valves need to be checked/adjusted occasionally?

Does this engine have a timing chain or belt? Looks like after 02 it should have a chain, but just checking.

Thanks,
