Default Gas Mileage

Hey guys.. i have a ? for ya... i just got offered a 1993 Ranger 4 banger for 1200.. its a screamin deal.. it has the 2.3 with only 60K ORIGINAL miles. Its a Regular Cab 2wd.. 5 speed.. anyways.. back to the point of this thread. What kind of gas mileage are you guys getting with this setup?? This truck is gonna be my commuter to offset the horrible gas mileage of my tahoe. I just wanna know the mileage of this particular truck.. not other rangers that have nothing to do with anything i just stated. The owner says he gets about 20 mpg but that seems kinda low for a 4 banger 2wd. Wanna get an idea before i buy it. Thanks guys.

I got a 1997 2.3L and i get about 17 in the winter and 20-25 in the summer depending where i go, and that's with an auto. With the 5 speed it should get a little better. Someone mentioned a 5 digit odometer. Even if it's got 160,000 instead of the 60,000, I'm willing to get it's got plenty of life in it. These 4cyl are great engines. They might take a bit to get up to speed but they have plenty of power.

^yea im not doubting the truck still has life left in it...i just be wary if it had a 5 digit odometer...and make sure it is actually 60k and not 160k
