Default Idle Lowers When Coming To Stop

I have a 2001 XL Automatic that normally idles around 800-900 RPMs when warm in drive or park. When i decelerate normally, the idle comes down to about 500 RPMs and the truck shakes for a second or two then goes back to normal. It does not do this when i decelerate very slowly and i was wondering if this was cause for alarm. I really appreciate the feedback thanks!

I would clean the TB, the MAF and the IACV. also check the airfilter and air intake hose that it is all clear. I don't think it is a vacuum issue but check them anyways. do you have the Lima or the Duratec?

*Never mind I just noticed you have the 2.3 duratec*.........Then Duratecs do have that PCV hose issue. You might want to check that just to be sure......

Thanks for the input, I'm going to have my girl's dad take a look since he's a mechanic. For now I don't think I'm going to worry about it too much until shes due for an oil change again. Thanks!
