Default Tach help

Found my Sunpro Tach recently, installed it today, among other putzing arounds on the truck.

12+ to fusebox
NEG to dash brace at floor panel
White to Cig light fuse
Green to single wire connection at EEC TEST bundle.

Light works with dash lights but no signal for RPM, it does however, move a slight bit when the engine is turned off.

Any ideas? Tach worked fine in my previous 300.00 S10.

Any chance there is a signal connection that can be hooked up on the green wire from the instrument cluster location coming from where the old tach was bolted in?

1992 2.3L

Tap the tachometer signal wire into the tan/yellow Ranger tach wire. You can find the t/y at:

Instument cluster pin 6
PCM pin 4

Looked at my firewall connection, I'm not going to poke and hope under the dash.
Which pin do I need to tap at the firewall point?
I see a Tan/yellow wire and a Black/yellow wire.

Really don't want to splice wrong wires...

The factory tach signal is on the tan/yellow. PCM connector, firewall connector or cluster connector - it's all the same t/y conductor.

Found the Tan/yellow wire at pin 12. Stripped some insulation away and tested. Got it on my first try.
