Default 91 Ranger 2.3L really needin some help.

hey guys new to the forum. im 22 and needin some help on my ranger 2.3 5speed. ok, The truck starts and idles great, but when i lug out a gear or give it heavy acceleration it wants to die out, if i drive it slow and ease into the clutch and drive it slow it does great, its only if i start lugin a gear or try to take off some what quick, its very irratating. When it cuts out its almost like the motor dies, its not like a mis fire at least it seems, it just cuts out and comes back cuts out comes back, tack jumps up and down, when i leave my foot into it. when it cuts out like that, i just lift off the gas and it comes back and contiue to drive it slow. it gets up to speed and all just gotta stay light on the foot. if i stay into it when it starts to cut out it eventually dies. then it restarts fine and im back to driving it.

I my self have changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, timing belt(doing this before belt change), crank sensor, o2 sensor, plugs. and doing the fuel regulator tm. and possibly the TPS?? im lost on this thing. cause it runs so good when i stay light footed on it. ANy help please.. thanksn also i wanna add there is no check engine light on.

Just to answer my question from 6 yrs ago lol. The problem i fixed was the Crank position sensor . I replaced this and the truck ran great.

Always good to know what the diagnosis of a problem is, even six years later! Feedback like this could very well help someone down the road with similar problems. Just curious though, did it take six years to figure out the problem, or just to get it posted? ;-)

Take care!
