RPM rise with power steering and shifting
I guess this is the right section for this lol.
My ranger idles pretty high when it starts (around 2k), but then settles down after a minute. From what I understand that's pretty normal. Here's the weird symptoms:
When idling (sp?) at 600 rpm, turning the steering wheel more than a quarter turn will cause the idle to go up to 900-1k.
When shifting gears (its a manual), the RPM increases 100-200 and then slowly fall.
Is it time to replace the TPS or IAC? I cleaned the IAC but it didn't seem to help...Maybe I didn't clean it well enough, or i need to clean out something else?
Thanks for reading!
