I recently bought a 94 ranger after getting it home i noticed the heater hose to the core missing does any one have a diagram of where the hoses go i cant figure out where they go to its an xlt i t does have a/c thanks alot

what size motor does it have?

Well just to warn you, there is probably a reason the previous owner removed the heater core hoses. The heater core is probably shot and leaks. So instead of fixing it, he just removed the hoses and blocked them off.

Sounds about right. I'd hook up new hoses first just to be sure. I don't know how similar the process for a 94 is to a 98, but my 98 was PITA to get the core out and replaced...especially being a stick. An auto is a little easier since the dash will just lay down. Not sure about 94s though.

the pre-98's aren't too bad. the entire dash doesn't have to completely come out at least.

I agree with fireranger. The core is probably bad.....the good news on your 94 is it is a 15 minute $25 fix. 1995 and up it is at least a 6 hour job per the dealership. I am pretty sure the pipe closer to the drivers side is the inlet and comes from the tstat housing area. if you have Ac it would be the hose with the heater control valve on it.

1. Drain cooling system.
2. Disconnect hoses from heater core. Plug hoses and core openings to prevent leakage of residual coolant.
3. Remove heater core access cover attaching screws and the cover, Fig. 12.
4. Pull heater core rearward and down, removing it from plenum assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Do not over tighten hose clamps.
