Default clutch pedal

Recently noticed clutch pedal needs to be depressed almost to the floor in order to start up the truck.98 Ranger ,2.5.Once in a while it will just click to start and if I pump the clutch pedal once or twice it will fire up.Thanks ahead of time.

A lot of Rangers have a sensor on the back of the clutch that has to be engaged for the engine to turn over.... it's a safety protocol. Look up behind the clutch and see if it has a nub that hits a sensor... then align it/play with it till it's engaging properly.

as he said^^^^^^^^^^ it's your clutch positioning switch. it is attached to the clutch pedal.......$30 part or maybe it is just loose....
