Default Does it have one or not. Cam Sensor

I ordered a new cam and crank sensor for my 98 Ranger XLT 2.5. I looke the up in the manuel. It says my Ranger does not have a cam sensor unless it is a california model. True/not true. Where is it located?

Time for a better manual. Every 98 Ranger has a Camshaft Position Sensor.
