Turbo for 500 dollars possible if you swap engines for a Thunderbird turbo coupe engine

U can just simply bolt on a turbo and go with it on your stock engine.

you can do a turbo on your stock motor.just dont put to much boost in it.5-6 pounds is all it will take.more then that and you'll tear the bottom end out

If you want real power, start with a '97 2.3L, put the bottom end from a 2.3T Thunderbird Super Coupe or a SVO Mustang(forged bottom end), throw on a t3/4... 300hp to the ground isn't uncommon for almost dirt cheap. But getting that engine to run in your 04+, that may be challenging. check out turborangerforums.com. TONS of turbo ranger info. Not many(if any at all) have turbo'd the 2.3L Duratech engines.

And for what it's worth, your engine now is a rocketship compared to the old 2.5L Lima engine.

83-88 is only year I think they offered it

You need more than just the engine to make it work

Check out that site Shane posted turboranger
