Default 89 ranger no spark or injector pulse

Ive got problems with an 89 ranger that has the 2.3L 4 cylinder with DES. I hit a large bump while driving and it died instantly. It has no spark and the injectors are not firing, but it does have fuel pressure and it turns over. The crank sensor has been checked and I also tried swapping the ecu with one from a 91 ranger with no luck. I am not positive if 89 and 91 ecu's are compatible, but the connectors were the same. What do I check next?

check your timing it might have jumped do to the bump and check all your grounds

check the inertia switch under the dash on the passenger side footwell. it may have been triggered when you hit the bump. it will look something like this:

i dont think an 89 would have an inertia switch i know ive never seen any on my truck and its a 90

every ranger ive owned has had one (86, 93,96, 01) so i dont know why his 89 wouldnt have one.

I looked for an inertia switch and could not find it. Also didnt see anything in my owners manual about one. Im not sure if my ecu is getting power. is there anywhere i can find a wiring diagram for the ecu to check power and ground and what not?

just checked with a volt meter. 1 pin has constant power all the time, and there are about 10 pins that have power with the key on.

Boy this is a tough one, with power to ECM and no inertia switch you should have something happrning

You say you have no injector pulse or ignition I believe the ignition module has nothing to do with the injector but if the ECM doesn't know the engine is turning over it won't send out pulses. I am not sure where the crank sensor is at but it just might be that.
