Default 91 2.3 40 lb fuel rale pressure & no injector signal?

91 ranger 40 lb fuel rail pressure & no injector signal, has great spark, starts using starting fluid. I suspect (ETS) engine temperature sensor or
(IAT) intake air temperature sensor.
I pulled and made resistance measurements on the (ETS) at 75 degrees = 30.4 K ohms. at 212 degrees = 2.1 K ohms.
what should the resistance range be and will the (EEC) stop injectors from opening? Would the (IAT)keep the (EEC) stop injectors from opening?

The first thing I'd check are the fuses/relays.

Are you getting a voltage at the injector harness? If I'm not mistaken, the computer
will complete the ground connection by pulsing an internal SSR (relay).

With the key on, there should be a voltage at the injector harness.

The IAT from my knowledge will not prevent the injectors from pulsing, but it will result
in a hard start condition, and possible air/fuel ratio error.

tino 00M6SSLS1:
Thank you for replying.

I stripped 1/4" of 4 wires about 3" from the computer connector, B/W at #60 jumpered to bat. ground, Red #57 to bat. posative, I picked up a noid light from ( auto zone loaner ) and jumpered the noid lite between #57red and #59 white, then #57 red to #58 tan cranking motor each time and did not get noid lite to lite. I then replaced the (IAT) and the (ETS) with the same results.
Thanks Cecil ( Now looking for a 12A650-BC EEC )

Without the wiring diagram here, I can only comment from memory.

There should be 12 volts DC at one of the injector wires. Probe
one of the prongs on the harness, and touch the meter ground
probe to a solid ground on the engine (or battery if needed).

The voltage will be present with the key in the "on" position.

The noid light (when used) will stay lit up until you crank the motor.
Once you crank the motor, the noid light will flash off.

If you do not have voltage present with the key "ON", then you
need to check fuses and relays (beside the driver door, or the under
hood fuse box).
