Default where is my PCV VALVE on '87 2.3l ?

Any help finding the PCV VALVE on my '87 2.3L would be solid.
I have looked on autozone and alldatapro and they either don't list it or say it could literally be anywhere on the engine block.

Thx in advance!

Thanks for the suggestion, I looked and didn't find it anywhere on the valve cover.

I actually found it when i was looking around my distributor cap to make sure nothing was awry. It was located between the distributor and the alternator on the block. Hard as heck to see cause its tucked in underneath the alternator. At least that's how I would try and describe for anyone's future reference.

Thanks for the help, you got me looking in the right direction!

Thanks Bomilcar. I found it on my '87 2.3L ranger between the distributor and alternator. I was looking for it for like an hour today and gave up. Kinda gave up. I searched the forum and came to your answer then went back out and found it. What threw me was the Haynes manual says I need to remove the air cleaner, so that's what I did to no avail. Another thing that threw me was the replacement PCV valve I bought had a plastic elbow on it, so I was looking for something with an elbow. I ended up taking the plastic elbow off then connecting the two pieces of hose that run from the crankcase to underneath the throttle body together with the valve.

There is a hose on the under-belly of the intake manifold. You wont see it unless you squat down to look or feel for it. Once you find it, follow it down 6-7 inches to the PCV valve in the alternator and distributor area.
