wheres the egr valve?
was reading at another thread and got to thinking where in the hell is the egr on a 2.3 i have looked hi and low and cant even see where it comes off the exhaust so if any one knows please let me know and pics would be awesome!

Should be some where on the exhaust manifold and it should be before it dumps into the exhaust pipe
Have not seen the newer 2.3's on the 09

If you find it let me know.
I found where the pipe goes into the intake & see where it comes out of the exaust. But I can't find the EGR to save my azz.

there should be a little diagrahm under the hood that tells you why do you need to find it

94 2.3 5 speed regular cab,no intake muffler, ,k&n air filter,silverstar headlamps,aftermarket driving lights,cd player,aftermarket shift knob, looking to buy and install cold air intake,performance exhaust and chip if i can find one.

To block it off for better economy.
Plus it can't be all that good sending all that hot air & carbon back thru the engine.

I misread your question when I looked at it this morning
Here is where mine is located on my 05 4.0 I would guess yours will be on the driver side maybe back by the firewall

I found ford replacement part numbers from 2001-07 2008-09 don't show part numbers

Here is a 2009 2.3 engine I dont see a EGR VALVE any where around the intake

ok the boys at the local ford shop told me to look right here and if it dont say it has a egr valve than it ant got one

he sticker we need to look at if you dont see egr than you dont have egr valve

That figures I could never find a part number from 08-09
So guess they only put them on 01-07 and then stopped for some reason
