I have a 94 ranger with a 2.3 and am in the middle of changing timing belt, I have my #1 at tdc and my crankshaft keyhole is not at 12 o clock so my truck will not start cause when its at 12 o clock my piston is not tdc. Can someone please help me get this done correctly.

pull the crank shaft? just spin it till mark is aligned, i think you had the crank 180 degrees out

1 compression stroke 1 exhaust stroke...you gotta be on the compression stroke... put you finger over the #1 hole have someone turn motor with a wrench untill u feel air coming out, thats the compression stroke. then line marks up
