So I was browsing Craigslist like i always do and i stumbled across a 98 with i believe has a 2.3L four banger in it and it says that the "Lifter" is causing a noise but the truck runs fine. It is for 800 bucks so its not too bad of a deal.

What type of problems can i run into if i get this truck? Just curious because i might look at it even though i want a Gen 1/2 truck lol

dont look at it ,you have a sweet 99 why would you want a 98 they are practically the same truck. besides why spend your hard earned money on something that knocks. i have a 94 i am selling for 800.00 with a 2.3 and it doesnt knock!
