Default 2.3L FI and 2.3 CARB

My 2.3L FI in my 85 ford ranger had some problems and I have a 2.3L carb out of my Courier.

Its been sitting on the ground and been in the weather (had it covered up) but I imagine it's gotten wet some.

I possibly can spray it down with PB blaster.

I was wondering if my Couriers 2.3L carb can go in my Ranger and use the Fuel Injection intake, etc?

Anyone tried this?

I've found another 2.3L in a truck and the guy wants $350 for it. Idk what to do.

i just put my 87 fi intake on an 83-84 carbed 2.3 and the only difference is the top left bolt hole on the intake is different so u wont be able to use all 8 bolts but it doesn't really matter cause there's no pressure. and i changed the valve cover cause the 83-84 had the cap in the back and no indent for the intake hose. oh and the distributor needed changed too but it all works.

Here is the Courier's engine (Courier is in the background....)

Pulled off the oil pan and yeah, water got in the engine some. Sprayed it with PB blaster. Nothing was rusted though.

Here's the Courier's engine getting the Rangers 2.3L stuff put on it.

I probably wait with water pump and just get an oil pump.

What color you paint yours?

I'm hoping someone can tell me what kind of carburetor I can use in an 83 Ford Ranger, 2.3 L. I am hoping to find a used one.

----------

I don't want to pay a lot for it. I'm hoping I can find another model that would use the same carburetor so I can pull it out of that vehicled and do a rebuild on it and put it in my Ranger. My current carb is missing parts and bolts, gummed up, and I dont want to deal with it.
