I'm only getting 21-22 in mixed driving. I've got a 5 speed with slightly oversized tires (currently 235/75-15, door sticker states that OEM tires were 215/70-14) I drive about 10 miles on the highway and 30 on side roads for my commute and rarely get above 65 mph. I shift somewhere between 3-4000 rpm. And I run 87 octane. It's costing me $60 per week as it is

Also, I have fresh plugs and wires and a K&N air filter. I'm thinking I'm going to put some good injector cleaner through the system and change out my fuel filter soon.

2004 2.3L I4, 5sp, 235/75/15 (stock is 225/70/15). Most the time I shift under 2500rpms.
25-29mpg

Going from stock to 235 I over all lost 1mpg, but the over all felt power when hitting hills was more.
Its been 5 years of running these tires I have, my next set i'll go back to stock size.

Back when I had stock tire size, I was able to shift at 3000-3500rpms and still get 29mpg all day long.

I drive over 60 miles a day any more. Even with the good MPG, these gas prices still hurt!

See sig for stats... 16mpg mostly, 18mpg on a good tank!!! I've tried driving easy and driving hard, both yeild the same mpg.
I just changed the plugs & fuel filter. I'll post back when I check the milage on a couple of tanks. The filter was pretty dirty but I'm not expecting much.

My ranger has bigger tires on it for being a 2wd, and I think I get 18 or so. But I just got a tune up, and going to get the truck after school. So I'm betting Ill get bout 20 to 22, I hope. =]

Not sure what size tires mine are, I'd have to look. I think there 275/70/15 But they are too big with no lift, they are in my fender wells.

well, I'm not sure. My friend has his ranger on 35s with a 10 inch lift, his trucks made for offroading. The bed is dove tailed. But he gets about 16 mpg, and I think he has a v8 or 6 I'm unsure. But he geared his different.

I would expect depending on what you have (engine size) you'll get around 13 mpg or more. But what engine do you have??

I've got a stock 3.0L V6. Getting arounud 20-21 mpg. But that is when I drive like a COMPLETE grandma on the highway... These gas prices are killing me. If only E85 did what it was supposed to, then I could take advantage of my Flex Fuel package...

Thanks, I'll let you guys know.
New here on the Forum and just realized this thread was started under the 4-cyl tech field. Might be why no one has mentioned the 4.0, even though some here are 3.0.
