Fair enough then, it's between you two after all.

I'll definitely be looking into headers then, I just knew that when my father was working on them, the gaskets would fail after a year routinely. I just didn't know if I wanted to deal with the costs of new gaskets that regularly; but hey! I'm always up for some shiny headers if the gasket reliability has improved!

Port and polish might increase head flow slightly, but it really wouldn't do much at all with a relatively stock engine.
Careful about choosing camshafts too, dont just get the biggest lift camshaft you can get, with you engine you should be going after a small amount of lift.

If you really want a good amount of performance you can try to keep an eye out for a Ford Thunderbird turbo coupe or a wrecked SVO Mustang, those had turbo 2.3 motors and you could try to get your hand on one of those and swap it in, but dont ruin a perfectly fine SVO, those are pretty rare.

you could always go with the dual over head cam set up.

what would be kickass is take a 2.5 from a probe gt and make a front wheel drive sleeper. it would take a lot of work but it would be worth it.
