2.5l temp gauge not working at all-little heat
So I dont know if the code will tell me the culprit or not- hasnt so far. Im used to a jeep 4.0 so this thing has me baffled

Either your thermostat is stuck open or the impeller on the water pump is corroded away and not circulating enough coolant. I would look at the thermostat first.

Got thermostat and temp sending unit today for 15 bucks with gasket so ill put em on and see. Noticed that the temp gauge finally moved while I was charging the air so I figure thermostat is most likely culprit, but I need a good coolant flush as well.

what tstat did you get? make sure you get all the air out

^^ Park Uphill, No really, just like you do with the 4.0L in a Jeep to get air out through the t-stat housing.
