Exclamation No spark 2&3

Hey guys I have a '94 with a 2.3. Last week I replaced Plugs and wires as well as fuel and air filters. As soon as I fired it up I knew I had a problem. Missing very bad and hardly able to move itself when I let the clutch out. For the past couple of months the truck would idle way down and shutter nearly cutting off while stoped or when I clutched it. Voltmeter would bounce back and forth when this happend. Then The battery died so I replaced and it quit doing the sputtering while idling for a little while. Anyhow yesterday I started pulling wires all are firing except intake 2 and 3. Im thinking coil packs at this point. I switched the two around and still no spark on I2&3 but the same pack is firing all 4 on exhaust. Check engine lights been on for at least 2 years. Before you laugh at me ignoring the light ill say this I took to my shop where I work several times and had our mechanics put one of those fancy expensive testers off the snap-on truck to it and get no codes. So I took to the mechanic I use and he recieved no code telling me to drive it till it dies and it would be easier to diagnose. Im worried about driving it to the shop about 25 miles away with no spark on 2 cylinders for fear of washing the cylinders. Any help with getting no spark?

Thanks for the reply. However this 2.3 does not have a distributer. It has 2 coil packs.

have you fixed it? mine did this and taking the exhaust coild pack (working on all 4) and swapping it with the intake one produced the same problem. a new coil pack fixed it.

yeah i repaired mine by replacing the ignition control module.. about 150 bucks..also u need all 3 bolts holding it in the manifold. i broke one off in the manifold and it kept the whole truck from even firing.

Since the 2.3 use a waste spark system, one bad spark plug can take out two cylinders. In your case it could have been a bad connection at the ICM
