Default bigger injectors / egr block off

I have a 2000 ford ranger 2.5l I want to up the injector size. I believe there are 15lb injectors stock so I would like a 17lb injector can I do it? Also what would I ned to change to be able to run bigger injectors? Can the stock ecu compensate for bigger injectors?

Also the egr valve the thing that has a pipe comig from the exhaust manifold then going to the throttle body what it does is return exhaust back to the throttle body to be reburned to help emissions what im getting at is I heard making an blocking plate to block the exhaust going back to the throttle body in theory it should make it run better and with more horses because the exhaust won't be polluting the airfuel mixture going into the motor. Just want to hear if anyone has done this or if its a good idea or not.

I did the egr blockoff to my 2.5 and reset the ecu also and my check engine light is on any thoughts?

from wht i know on egr systems is they use an inert gas from ur exhaust back into the intake to lower cylinder temps which will bring down the NOx so it is for emissions. if you do the block i would think you would have to reprogram the ecu cuase the ecu will be looking at the O2 sensors and if they are within the parameters it will throw a code
