It right behind the bottom pulley on the right hand side.Alittle easier to change if you take off the fan belt. One bolt, unplug, pull it straight out, might have to wiggle it a bit to pull out.Don't break it off in there.

thanks randy, wish i would have seen your post sooner, i took it to a local shop(in laws) . he had coil packs off, alternator off, and bottom radiator hose off. but only charged 30 bucks..cant argue with that.

I have a 2002 ford ranger 3.0 v6 2 valve
The problem with it is that does not accelerate over 3000 rpm
when on a slope the engine accelerates to 4500 rpm
and check the sensor camshaf, change ignition coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, MAF sensor, fuel pressure is 65psi,
when I press the throttle pedal the engine fails.
many say that the fault is camshaf sensor and not to do
I install my computer to another ford and realize the test works fine on my computer for 10 minutes in the other ford and works well
I check the timing chain was well
anyone have a solution to this problem can not find any solution to this problem
no fault codes, if they accelerated over 3000rpm the 3 oxygen sensors lower their voltage to 0.00 volts
