Hmm, Snowball's on to something there. 48HP is one hell of an upgrade for the money. That's a case of beer and a weekend with some friends. . .
As for getting a general cat it depends if you did'nt mutilate your pipes you could see about getting a newer one out of a JY and having it welded into your pipe, or check with some local Muff shops, they will generally have some generic customs that will do the trick the only down side is that they generally mark them up 30-50%. . .

About the Cat picture you trying to blow out candles how would you do it. . .
with that pictured, now imagine trying to do it ith a 2" piece of pipe for a throat and mouth. . . you lose alot of pressure that helps you apply force.

Oh my bad I mis-read your post I thought you were looking for a cat. . .
(Don't ask me how, it happens more often than not)
Hmm, a chip for a 94' first would be to see who makes one for your year, then to see who carries their products. The only thing I found less going into a specific site to site search, was Jet like Snow recommended. It would be good for about 10HP on a stock vehicle and less on a sloppy stock vehicle. i.e. not worth the money. $250+ I can personally guarentee you that cleaning up your vehicle's engine and drivetrain will produce more than a 10HP gain. . .
If you are just looking for bragging rights just tell them you have it. . .

thats what you think but look at it this way on an average every 50 lbs = one less mile per gallon thats what the nation insurance and safety institute says so you got to believe it more like 40 lbs and thats a back pack full of goodies for the day at the game or a 12 pack for the tailgate party so i ask is it worth the bad mileage to have beer at the game i say hell ya but other might say no (those dame commies) lol

You have my base sugg.'s beyond that any real HP gains are either gonna come from a hotter cam, or the newr motor Snow spoke of. That's my 1st choice, really if I had your truck here I could run you through a build up, but in the end it's still gonna suck unless you go through the motions of cleaning it up/maintenence it and by time you spend the money you could have easily JY'd a newer motor for a couple hundred. . . . .
