ok i want to swap out my 2.3l l4 for a 4.0 v6 but i dont know what i all need for this it has a 5 speed w/OD mazda r1 tranny right now will that work with the 4.0? and what about the computer and cooling and all the little things like that? if anyone can help with anything that would be awesome thanks

everything will need to change. motor, mounts, wiring, computer, trans, radiator, hoses, throttle cable, rear axle wouldn't be a bad idea, fuel lines possibly. basically everything touching the motor.

This is basically a mass rebuild, I hope you have a second vehicle, Hell just do like the show "trucks" and put the 4.6L V8 mated to a 5 spd manual, Yeah! . Except on that show it was a Mazda B series. I think they put a mustang rear end on it too

i would do that if i had the money but i already have a donor truck lined up
