I can't seem to find it at the moment, but I did read a long post on a Ranger Throttle Mod. Maybe it was in a different forum.
It's where you add spacers (ty-wraps) between the end of the throttle cable and the gas pedal to take up the slack.
Since there is very little distance between my gas pedal idel postion and holding the pedal to the floor, it sounds like the mod for me.
But I have a question. As it is now, when I hold the pedal to the floor, the butterfly in the throttle body is fully open. So if I do this mod, I am worried that pushing the pedal to the floor might put un-due strain on the butterfly. So, the question is, should I leave it alone? Or maybe better put, if this is the case, why doesn't everybody else have issues with butterfly damage?
