Default quick ways to add horsepower to my 2.3

i have a 1997 and it's just not cutting it for me on the power i dont want to much more, so are there any little things i could do with like the intake and any other little things like that, or major things i dont mind spending a few hundred bucks

not much you can do. K&N, remove cat, performance muffler, clean IAC, MAF, throttle body... tune up.. remove as much weight as possible.. research "throttle cable mod" truck was designed for fuel economy, if you put around in it you'll get crazy gas mileage. I get close to 30mpg

There is actually a decent performance market for the 2.3. At least I know there used to be if not still is.
Racer Walsh used to make some hella - horsepower with them!

Mods: New engine and trans. Cluster swap with tach. New headunit and speakers all around. 4x4 front valance. Led turn indicator mirrors. Crystal clear head lamps. Clear corners. 5" driving lights in Valance.
Mods to come: 'stang seats, explorer console, window tint, flowmaster cat back, some mild port work.

Electric fan if you already haven't, or maybe gears if you have a reg cab, since I think reg cabs came with 3.73's and ext cabs came with 4.10's. Lima 2.3's can also take a turbo from a t-bird if you're feeling wild.

Swap a different motor in it. Swap in a Mustang 2.3 Turbo. Or sell the truck and buy a Mustang.
