Default newbie need help please

was driving my 2000 ranger xlt down the highway and lost power, then engine died, found out that the timing belt broke. timed it and replaced the belt, tried it with radiator and all the other stuff off, and it started. then i put everything back in and it wont start again. any ideas? should i redo timing again? any suggestions greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

other stuff like the radiator fan, air intake, misc. stuff. that had to be removed to get to the timing belt but isnt really necessary to start.

If you did not properly install the timing belt it is possible it jumped, but it would have to had jumped purty darn good to not start. I guess your motor is not a catastrophic/interference motor you lucked out there. Always start with the basics, time, spark, fuel, if you have these you should be in good shape. You should check that all engine connectors are fitted properly. If all is well then check your dash to see if the theft light is flashing. . . HTH
