Rubbing/vibration sound around engine area
1995 2.3L 5 speed. I recently hit a tree in the front bumper due to icy roads. I replaced all exterior body parts and fixed a a thermostat housing gasket that was leaking due to the wreck. When i went to drive it for the first time after the wreck i noticed a rubbing sound when i started to go from a complete stop. It only occurs right when i begin to move then stops after 5 or 10 mph. I also noticed that the engine shifted say a 1/4 inch or so forward on the right motor mount (Due to the wreck). I also seem to feel more vibration on the shifter nob than usual. Could the sifted engine cause any rubbing like sound around the engine area? Maybe anything due to the alignment of the tranny, clutch or drive shaft? Any advice or tips on where to start?
