recently changed the fuel pump, fuel filter (both from Ford) and also replaced thermostat. did all of this because a few days after i bought it i realized it was losing power and these were supposedly the problems. truck ran okay for a few weeks. ran some fuel injector cleaner through but just recently it would take a few tries to start and when i pull out it'll stutter and almost die out at 1500 RPMs and then once i get above that, it runs fine. i can feel the loss of power in every gear at about 1500. no clue whats wrong. i was thinking maybe trans or clutch? any suggestions?

I don't really think it's the trans... It sounds like you're bogging down and / or have a misfire.

So first a few questions:

Do you have a CEL?
Are you having any issues at idle?
What previous issue prompted the fuel filter / pump change?
Is the hesitation affected by accelerating faster or slower, or does it crap out regardless of how much gas you apply?
And,
When is the last time you checked your spark plugs?

-check fuel pressure regulater for fuel in vacuum line
-clean IACV, clean TB.
-change air filter and make sure intake is not clogged

idle was low, took a few tries to start a few weeks ago. but now fires up fine. but i changed the fuel pump and filter and thermostat after i bought it. apparently it had been sitting for a while. hesitation was when i would pull out in first gear and even when i had the pedal to the ground, it still had that power loss. now it hasnt really acted up recently. im thinking its just my clutch that is going downhill?
