Anyway, A/C was an option on the XL package untill now. I looked at the new '10 and it's now standard. I didn't see anything about tilt and cruise.

My truck I got the option Cloth seat, cruise, tilt, and A/C. Oh, also standard cold weather package. :-)

Sorry smakes. The newer 2.3s like mine have 147hp.

Now add a 50 shot of NOS & you've got a race

Good post ?.
I don't know if this fits, but my dad bought a first year Pinto wagon with a 2.3L and C5 auto, I think it was a 1971, it was specified as to use regular fuel only, for those too young to know what that was, it contained lead and used to be called regular.
I inherited that car, it was under powered and about like driving a slug, but it did get 25 mpg, which was unheard of at that time in history. (gas was $.72 a gallon, up from $.35 due to the Arabs needing more money to pay for the rise in camel $hit)
I can say this about that 2.3, it had 218000 miles on it when I got rid of it and didn't use any oil, it was on it's second transmission and second rear end, plus other parts that normally wear out.
That was the most gutless car I have ever owned. Glad to see they got it together and gave it the same power we used to get out of the of 2.9 V-6's, and the mileage you fellows are getting makes not having the extra power a non problem.

I am guessing just the block heater, not sure about the rest. I looked at my window sticker to see if it said anything more, just says "Cold Weather Package- N/C"

Read my manual, just says block heater to used to warm enegin's coolent to help aid a quicker heat/ defrost.

Not sure if better tires or not.

At least the Limas have aftermarket support for performance parts. Heck, for a "few" grand you can make the Lima have *almost* as much power as a D-tech!

My 97 hit 550000 last month. Really proud of that number. Drive it every day .It's slow but it will haul anything I put behind it and it still gets 28mpg on hwy
