Default Transmission bolt sizes

Hello,

I did an oil change yesterday, and while I was under there, I noticed a couple things I'd like to take care of:

1. My transmission bell housing(?) - the wide, rounded area that is bolted in a circular pattern near the engine oil drain plug - is missing a bolt so I would like to buy a bolt to put in there. Can anyone tell me the exact size that will match the other bolts?

2. One of the bolts on my transmission pan has fluid seepage. I'd like to replace it, maybe the threads are stripped or something. What size bolts does the transmission pan take?

My vehicle is 2003 Ranger 2.3L automatic DOHC.

Thank you kindly!

Unless a member knows just which one you need, its easy to get replacement bolts, pull another bell housing bolt out, thread it in the open hole. If it doesn't bottom out when tightened, remove it, and a pan bolt, they will be MM and the size will be stamped on the head, something like 8.8 or other #'s. Take them to the hardware store and match the thread pitch and length.

Thank you, good idea. I'll pull the two bolts when I go to Lowes tomorrow. I've got to remember to park with the front facing downhill as the leaky pan bolt is nearest the back of the truck...Don't want fluid draining out while the bolt is out.
