You guys were not any help. I had to figure this out for myself.
Once tne white ring is pressed on you have to use a pry bar to force it out. It gets silted up and won't come out by hand.
Oh, silted up means that very fine dirt forces it's way in between the close fitting parts and causes them to stick.
