Default 91 2.3 valve lifters

hey guys,

Any issues with changing the valve lifters ? Is there anything i will need to change at the same time, besides oil and valve cover gasket? My other option is to get a rebuilt head. I have the dreaded valve tick and some days it is horribly loud on cold mornings. 91 2.3 240k

May be more than just the lifters, cam and followers could be worn also.

My other option is to replace the head, $500 from AutoZone, but I fear that would mess up the bottom end with the top end being so new and tight.
