Default More MPG!!

So you guys have helped me find tuners and problem is they are expensive. I can make a cold air intake out of spectre universal parts from autozone for cheaper than a tuner. But it seems I have gotten greedy and am gonna look into exhaust kits. Any recommendations?

The best MPG mod out there is to monitor the way you drive. Easy on the gas and shift below 2300 rpm.

I don't take mine over 2100 when going thru the gears. I am very gentle with the go pedal. I coast every chance I get, like down hills & coming up to a stop sign. So far my worst MPG has been 29MPG & my best so far was 32.6MPG.
I don't run the A/C hardly ever. I run 40lbs of air in the tires also.
My current tank it just above 1/4 of a tank left & the tripometer is at 311 miles.

Yea that sounds right but I just can't bring myself to be that nice to it. But I have found that it doesn't hurt the mpg in these new rangers or at least mine.

I average around 27~28mpg mixed driving with exhaust, intake, performance tune and beating on it like a red headed stepchild. I love this engine!

I'm not complaining by all means. The truth is that my commute is about 75% interstate and I use cruise all the time although I could shift sooner. Plus I think its funny that a bone stock pick up gets the same mpg or better than most cars still with a bigger motor and can have a pay load!

I think my next mods will be a K&N air filter & synthetic oil.
I just got a tonneau cover that supposivley nets you better MPG. if it does, great. If it don't, oh well as I needed it.

How will synthetic oil help your MPG?

Better lubrication = less friction = better MPG.

Plus I have been running Mobil1 synthetic in everything I own since 1993.
