Should start a thread and report it back

Of course your driving habits will need to be the same and where you drive as far as mileage on highways or in city

Oh yea I forgot to mention that I also use synthetic in everything I use. Amsoil high perf with their filter. I have noticed gains with it in mpg and oil life. Those oil life sensors don't go off nearly as much.

Google hypermiler or hyper mile. They take some things a bit extreame but you can find a lot of good gas saving driving techniques there.

My truck only has 15k on the clock. I'm not sure on when I should change diff and trans over.

There are some who do that stuff once a year regardless of how many miles they've put on it.

Your "scheduled maintenance guide" will have all that info. You don't really need to worry about that yet at 15K.

all i meant was the royal purple has more viscosity as the stuff ford put in when you bout it thus means less drag there for more mileage do to the better oil and its 30 weight is like most 20w but it adheres better thus the better oil for less drag or where and tare on your parts

The owners manual says 60K on the manual trans. I did mine with RP, but noticed no change from it, also I used Amsoil in the Diff, also no change. The change came from using it in the motor.

New 2009 5sp 4cyl. Four tankfulls so far. 24 from the dealer on initial tank, 25 first fillup I did myself. Last 2 have been 28MPG with the fillup after with at least 250 miles on the tank.
