Default Bad fuel pump

I've just replaced my fuel pump on my '89 2.3 and the new one(s) keep giving out. I have replaced the fuel regulator, filter and relays. I have even replaced the gas lines but my pump keeps dying out. After I place a new pump my truck runs great then a day later it will show signs of loss of power and stalling on stops. Does anyone know why my fuel pump keeps giving out?
