Rough Idle Help please.
I start my truck and let it idle for a little bit its smooth but maybe 30 secs it drops and idles rough but then check engine light comes on. Everytime doesnt fail. the MAF and TPS seem to be good. Could it be the Ignition Control Module? How would u check if that is what is bad... Any other ideas throw them at me.

I doubt it is the icm. you need to read the codes and post the actual numbers here..........what do you mean the maf and tps seem to be good. did you clean the maf or even look at? Do you have an aftermarket air intake?

Re: Rough Idle Help please.
In addition to all of the above, I would put money on pulling the IAC and TB and cleaning them will fix the problem.

Ok. Again without knowing the trouble codes, its hard to diagnose. You need to read the codes and post what they are. If you don't have a code reader, most autopart stores have them and will read them for free.

Re: Rough Idle Help please.
Nothing. I was just being a wise guy because of what I perceived as sub par feedback

Re: Rough Idle Help please.
So you need to spray the inside of the throttle body with throttle body cleaner not carb cleaner. You need to pull the MAF and spray the filament with a can of MAF. Cleaner. Then pull the IACV off and clean the Cavity out with one of those cleaners. Those are all maintenance items. Then get a code reader I got a Codekey reader at Costcos for $20. DO YOU HAVE AN AFTERMARKET AIR INTAKE?
