Question Dont know what the part is called but i need help

So i have a 2.3 fuel injected engine and there is a sensor on the bottom of the block drivers side. it says non adjustable and i was wondering what it is called and where i could find an aftermarket one?

thats kind of a vague description. can you get a picture of it by chance? also, why do you need a new one?

I hear if you swap that out with a aftermarket one, you can gain 50HP!!!!

I think I need a new one because I was told it had something to do with the timing but another guy said it was a knock sensor and you can't do anything with it. I was looking at some pics of a modified 2.3 and the same part was an after market part on that 2.3.
