2.3, starts fine, dies right way, starts runs rough for about 15 seconds
Hey there,
So the back story is, I got my 93 2.3 Ranger out of retirement to use for my horse shoeing truck (part time) It has 213K miles.
The truck sat for almost 2 years, I installed a new battery and it started right up! (I love this truck!!!)
Recent fixes, new front brakes, new fuel pump and sending unit, new brake line, new fuel filter.
I'll start the truck and after a few seconds it will rev up then sputter and die, then restart sputter for a 15 seconds... then rev up to normal rpm's and continue to run. Sometimes when I bring the rpm's higher and left off the gas it will run a little rough then level out.
I've checked two spark plugs and they look good, checked wires in the dark and didn't see and spark, air filter looks good... should I try and clean MAS? Use sea-foam? any ideas would be helpful!
Thanks
Jeff
