Default Programmer or new gears when increasing tire size??

I have a 2009 4cyl that is 4 months old and I'm tired of these stock tires 22", and i want to put on 30" tires with all terrains, If I were to buy a programmer and change the ratio with the programmer would I have to still change the gears in the rear as well??? I also plan on getting a 4 inch lift on the front suspension.

Not sure what you mean by the programmer changing the ratio, I am guessing just the programmer changing everything? If you buy a programmer, and plan on changing the gearing, change the gearing first as the tunes that come with the programmer will be designed for the gearing information you supply them with. What lift are you thinking about going with?

Also, since you plan on going with a lift kit, usually means you will be going with bigger tires, so you will want to regear more than likely. What gearing do you have currently? 3.73?

I plan on making it a prerunner, so 4 inches in the front with better suspension still looking around for a good price, and for the rear just going to get nice leaf springs. Some of the better suspension automatically raises the front 2-3 inches and that would be perfect and I am still up in the air about a 28inch or a 30 inch tire,

Gear Ratios
I 2.47:1
II 1.85:1
III 1.47:1
IV 1.00:1
V 0.75:1

A programmer will only calibrate your speedometer so it reads right with the larger size tire

Like Justin said put in gears then have the programmer tuned for your truck with that axle ratio

Hmm...Camburg is the big name for prerunner stuff. I know someone who is selling their midtravel Blitzkrieg as well. Just so you know, prerunner isn't about lift though, its about travel. For the rear, you should be set with a set of deavers or nationals. I had the same suspension as you on my 04 ranger, just a 3" spindle and had 32s on it without a problem.

Oh the gear ratio I was looking for was your axle gearing. There will be a metal tag on your diff on one of the passenger side bolts with some numbers onit.
