Default catalytic converter ?

i have a 94 2.3 will removing the guts from the converter mess with the computer?.the motor only has the 02 sensor in the manifold.

Why do you want to gut the cat? You're not going to see a noticeable gain in performance, and you'll be spewing a lot more emissions.

I had thought there were o2 sensors before and after the cat. I guess not....

If you don't have any sensors after the cat, I think you should be okay. I suppose it's possible you'd see the CEL but I don't see how if your only o2 sensor is before that cat. You might want to wait for more opinions, but I think the truck would run okay.

Depending where you live if you have yearly inspections you could leave it off

We have them but some places don't bother even looking at the vehicle they just want the 12 dollars

it was somewhat clogged.we do have inspections so i took out the guts and bolted it back up.in nc if your car is 10 years old or older they don't hook it up to the sniffer
