Default 10w-30 instead of 5w-30

So i changed my oil today and realized after i put in the oil that the manual says use 5w-30.

I used 10w-30. should i go buy 5 more quarts and a new filter and change it with 5w-30? or do you think it will be okay until next oil change?

Its an 1989 ranger 2.3L with about 175k miles on it

You'll definitely want to change that out before it gets cold.

It's all 30 wt when its at operating temp, but 10W is more viscous when it's cold, and takes longer to get moving.

This is where you get more than 90% of engine wear.

I wouldn't use 10W oil in any engine.
