Default Help...ignition control module

I have a 95 ford ranger that the ignition control module is bad. Have the new part, but cant find were it is to replace it. Anybody know were it is located exactly???
Its a 95 ranger 2.3 with 2 coil packs, dual ignition.
Any help would be great!

how did you know if yours was bad. i need to know because my truck will not fire it fires sometimes and sometimes it doesnt

It is bolted onto the intake manifold. There are three bolts that hold it to the manifold. Two toward the driver's side and one on the bottom toward the passenger side.

Some auto parts stores will test them for free. Also, did you run a scanner to your truck to find any codes? Just replaced mine. Got the part at a wreck yard for about 10 bucks.

Thanks for the info. I had an auto parts place plug the computer to see what codes it was throwing. The truck would start, but once it got hot and you turned it off it would take atleast 40 minutes to cool down enough for it to start back. I hope they are right that it needed the ignition control. The new part cost 140.00. Again thanks for the info!
