So i just got done installing new plugs, well.. 6 out of the 8.. I got the passenger side in no problem, and the two plugs on the driver side closest to the front of the truck but i cant get the 2 in the back. i also got a new set of plugs and got the 4 installed on the passenger side but once again none on the driver side.


do you have to take off the throttle body off to get to these?? is there a trick? the plugs were very bad gapped at .080 and past. it runs better now but i want to install them 2 more plugs and the rest of the wires. any tips?


i tryed extensions and swivels

I was going to post the same question. The only difference is that my I have a 1996. I also got the same six plugs replaced but can barely even see the #3 and 4 plugs on the driver side. I sure would appreciate any advice available on replacing these last two plugs.

1996 Ranger XLT. Odometer broken at 103000+ but has approx. 144000. Runs well just need to learn more. New to the forum but looking forward to learning more about the Ranger.

no you have to be very flexable and good with your fingers. its a royal pain in the ass. but it can be done with it still on.you need some long extensions and a swivel. my advice and oppinion is to just fuck with it for a while till it pisses you off, then walk away for a bit, and come back and try again.
