Bought this truck for my daughter new. Now going to my grandson as he is getting ready to drive.

Put new fuel pump in two months ago. Ran great for about 3 or 4 weeks then just would not start. Using starter fluid in the intake it fires and will run as long as you spray the fluid in. As soon as you stop the engine stops.

Doesn't seem logical that the pump would be bad already. Going to take the bed off and test the electric to the pump to make sure it is getting power. (already replace fuse / relay). Any other ideas ? Appreciate any thoughts.

Check the switch under the passenger side carpet near the top, it's got a reset button on it.

If it was an aftermarket fuel pump, I've been told that they can go bad within a few months. That might be the culprit. OEM is expensive but that's the route I would go
You could check the pressure on the fuel rail at the Schrader valve. I guess the filter could be clogged badly enough you're not getting enough fuel. Easy to change the fuel filter.
When you turn the key on can you hear the fuel pump run?
